Alamo Lake State Park & Mud Cliff

We spent 4 lovely days at the Alamo Lake State Park (5 *), in Arizona with our friends Réjean and Louise. We enjoyed camping with electricity and water. Here we had the opportunity to ride on an ATV (All terrain vehicle), take long walks and also we started doing Geocaching.

Réjean and Ronald rode with the ATV in the surrounding trails for about two hours to get to Mud Cliff Wash. By watching the short video that follows, you will be able to relive their amusing experience in this wash.

All four of us returned by truck to the entrance of the Mud Cliff Wash, for a very enjoyable hike. It was a 5.5 km walk. We walked between the walls of rocks, on a very accented ground and in some mud. We saw very beautiful landscapes, and even two natural arches formed in the rocks. The next day, Réjean and Ronald went again with the ATV to return with the ATV covered in mud. We also did a short ATV ride together.

Réjean and Louise introduced us to Geocaching. Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location. We found the 11 caches that are here in the area. During our stay, we saw several wild burrows and we also reached the 100,000 km with the truck.
